Melissa has been told by many women and young ladies that she has a gift of being open and available; especially in her work with teens. One of Melissa's student's mother says, "My daughter feels like she can open up to Ms. Melissa while they paint together; it has helped her to have someone to talk to in a creative, relaxed environment." Melissa's students, sponsors, and accountability partners urged her to become a counselor for over 8 years. One accountability partner says, "She has a vulnerability and ability to be empathetic while offering hope and not pity." She's been told she's a good listener by many including her mentor who is also a Christian counselor. She has encouraged her toward Pastoral Counseling for years after seeing her heart for helping others heal and says, "[Melissa] pays thoughtful attention when listening to others and is not quick to go to a judgement on an issue. Also, [she] has a compassionate heart balanced with a sound mind." Melissa's sponsor says "because of all Melissa's past experiences, life experiences of hurt and pain from losing her brother, divorce, abused in many ways, single parent, alcohol...[these] experiences not only help her to have more empathy but help her understand what others are going through. No one will have any better skills to do this like Melissa will."
Melissa is excited to finally step fully and faithfully into her calling to help others find lasting healing in Christ. She is excited to help you and your family and looks forward to hearing from you soon.

"I couldn't think of any one better to counsel me and my wife as we prepared to get married. Paul was encouraging and funny but at the same time helped us to see potential pit falls and particular problems that could come up for us in our relationship. 5 years later and I'm still thinking about some of our discussions with Paul. Our marriage is definitely stronger having gone through counseling with him. Highly Recommended!"

"Paul is great with assessing the deeper problems that are in a person's heart. There is sin beneath the initial sin, and Paul is great at getting at the core of it and offering solutions that are attainable. Highly recommended!"
