I have been seeing Cindy weekly for the past few months and with every session my mental health improves. She not only empowers me to be a better person, but allows me to talk myself through difficult situations to determine the best next steps. She is very uplifting, kind, and empathetic. Cindy provides an environment that is comforting and reassuring, combined with a personality that is forgiving and allows for trust to develop. She has truly been a blessing in my life and has helped me find the courage to believe I am capable of anything. Beautiful Broken Counseling has been a "life line" for us during an extremely difficult time. We randomly found Cathy with a google search. My husband and I knew we were in the right place after meeting with Cathy for the first time. She is a godly woman and not only listens well during a session but really takes time to draw you out and understand you. Every time we walk out of her office we feel not only heard and known but also equipped with new stratgies on how to move forward and are given a better perspective on our struggles. We were looking for a counselor that would not waste time and found Cathy to be very intentional during our sessions. We felt stuck so many times, she has helped us process some tuff situations and used truth and love to guide us towards healing. We were hesitant to invest so much time and money into councelsing. Dr. Cathy Kirkland is absolutely the best therapist I have ever seen or ever heard of. She is extremely caring, Compassionate and she will never sugarcoat a situation. If it needs to be said she will absolutely say it for the sake of her client. The Truth will only set us free. This she firmly believes and is undoubtedly true! I am not an easy person to council, but she makes therapy seem easy because she makes it easy I was previously diagnosed with a mental illness by another therapist, and was convinced that this was the case. Dr. Cathy quickly proved to me that I did not have this certain mental illness. She does not define me as having any mental illness...she only defines me as being a child of God. I not only trust Dr. Cathy, but I have grown to love the person that she is. I cherish her as a friend as well..Meeting this therapist was purely God Devine.
I also want to mention that my daughter sees Ms. Melissa who is an art therapist at Beautifully Broken. My daughter is autistic, and she only trusts Ms. Melissa. The art therapy has made it easy for my daughter to speak about her feelings. We are also so thankful for her.
