Dr. Cathy Kirkland, Ph.D. is a Pastoral Counselor with a clinical emphasis through the National Christian Counseling Association in Sarasota, FL. Dr. Cathy is also a Certified Temperament Counselor. Dr. Cathy Kirkland is the founder of Beautifully Broken Counseling, "Bringing Beauty to the Broken Hearted." She and her husband, Dr. Todd Kirkland, manage the practice as a family friendly and welcoming place for hurting people to find a place of acceptance and healing. Many of Dr. Cathy's patients experience complete and lasting healing but they will come in whenever new challenges arise.
Dr. Michael Todd Kirkland, Ph.D. has enjoyed being a lifelong student. He has attended and completed programs from North Greenville College in South Carolina, Mars Hill College In North Carolina, and Trinity Theological Seminary in Indiana. Todd decided to retire from the preaching ministry in 2019 and joined his wife in pastoral counseling with Beautifully Broken Counseling. He and his wife, Dr. Cathy Kirkland, own the counseling practice and have worked to create a safe, family-oriented environment. Todd is also an avid reader. But THE Book he loves the most is the Bible. He has completed his 30'th reading. He believes the Bible is the map that we need to explore for the navigation of life.
Shelia McKay is a Pastoral Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Tennessee Technical University. She then completed a Business Management and a Master of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary. Shelia practiced privately as a pastoral counselor in Texas before moving to Murfreesboro, TN in 2015. Mrs. McKay has experience in both corporate America as a Human Resource manager and as a mother who homeschooled her children. Shelia and her husband have been married for 30 years and have two adult children. This gives Shelia a broad appeal with individuals from many walks of life. Shelia has enjoyed providing counseling services for more than 20 years in church ministry, private practice, as well as with pregnancy support center ministries.

Jon is an ordained minister and a pastoral counselor with Beautifully Broken Counseling. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from Union University and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Jon has completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy coursework from Eastern University and is preparing his dissertation. He has practiced as a certified PREPARE/ENRICH couples' assessment training facilitator for over ten years. Prepare and Enrich is touted as the "most trusted assessment for couples building" and "the global standard for couples counseling."
Jon is passionate about guiding those wounded in dysfunctional families toward a place of health and thriving. His approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, compassion, patience, and acceptance. He seeks to draw his clients to an encounter with the grace and truth of their stories in the context of a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. He allows clients to feel seen, understood and accepted as God's beloved children. Jon leads from the belief that we are all created in God's image with dignity and worth. As a couples counselor, Jon employs principles that equip couples to make lasting and healthy connections in Christ-centered relationships. Jon is also well-equipped to tackle issues facing individuals. He specializes in working with family-of-origin dysfunctions, such as broken relationships, emotional health, self-worth, anxiety, and depression. Jon knows how to help others deal with family-of-origin issues and about setting proper boundaries. He says we must "Stop placating our family's blind spots." He believes we must be honest with each other even if the other person will not continue to allow fellowship. The journey that he and Charlene have walked together gives Jon the authority to speak truth to those he counsels.
Jon has been married to his best friend for twenty-four years and has three children. His family is committed to practicing grace and truth in their relationships, cultivating emotional health, and engaging in a healthy repair process when conflicts arise.

Melissa Jackson is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Aquinas College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006. She completed her coursework and practicum for her Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling in December of 2019 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colorado Theological Seminary for Clinical Christian Counseling. She has served in leadership in many local churches, but primarily at World Outreach Church (WOC) where she attended for 15 years. She now attends and disciples at Micah's House where her children have been going to their homeschool tutorial for 7 years. Christian Counseling and Celebrate Recovery have been integral in her healing and she just celebrated 12 years free from alcohol through that program.
Paul Andrew Boyd, M.Div. grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia and moved to Murfreesboro in 2007. Paul is a Pastoral Counselor with Beautifully Broken Counseling. He earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mass Communications and a Minor in Psychology from West Georgia University in Carrollton, Georgia. He also earned a Master of Divinity (MDIV) from Covenant Theological Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. It has been said of Paul, by those that know him best, that Paul possesses a powerful ability to listen with grace and truth and draw others to Jesus' healing through a Gospel-centered approach to counseling. His experience in both college and pastoral ministries uniquely equips him to help his clients navigate life's struggles and transitions.
Alicia Roberts is a Pastoral Counselor who is currently obtaining her Master of Science degree in marriage and family counseling at Regent University. Her projected completion is in 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Regent University in 2018. Alicia is commissioned by Nashville Life Church. She comes highly regarded and recommended by all five members of her long-term team of pastors. Ms. Roberts feels called to give back to others and help people along life's journey. Her greatest asset is her excellent listening skills.
Cynthia Gray is a Pastoral Counselor who is certified by Prepare/Enrich as a facilitator for couples. She and her husband Jacob went through the training before getting married and again after a couple years of marriage. Seeing the positive results of this training, Cynthia became certified in Prepare/Enrich in order to provide this helpful service to other couples. She has been married to Jacob for eight years. After having a previous marriage that was extremely difficult, Cynthia understands how important it is to have a relationship built on love of God and love for each other.
Sativa Albers, a dedicated Commissioned Pastoral Counselor, Health & Wellness Coach, and seasoned professional, weaves a tapestry of experiences to guide individuals and couples towards profound healing and growth. Her life's journey, from her roots in Covina, California, to her fulfilling 25 years in rural Philomath, Oregon, and her recent relocation to Murfreesboro, Tennessee in July 2022, equips her with an empathetic understanding of life's challenges.
Dr. Jennifer Myers is a Licensed Pastoral Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association where she also received her Certification in Temperament Counseling and Advanced Certification in Integrated Marriage and Family Therapy. She was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel by New Life Ministerial Association, a ministerial fellowship of pastoral counselors, and is a member of the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors.
Jennifer has an immense love of learning. She attended Middle Tennessee State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Special Education in 2002 and a Master of Education in School Guidance and Counseling in 2008. She is grateful for the extensive experience she gained during her 20-year career in the school system by providing consultation and counseling to children and their families. She went on to earn her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Christian Counseling from the Colorado Theological Seminary and N.C.C.A.
